A special Soularize 2020 playlist wrestling with and recognizing the elements of spirituality and healing on the male journey to wholeness…these songs can be reminders and perhaps paradoxical celebrations that it’s truly a journey and not something where we wake up one morning and declare, “yep, I’ve arrived!”  You’re a jerk if you do that and no one likes you.  Except you could probably run for president.  We hand picked songs that grapple with isolation, mystery, healthy relationships, tension and self acceptance.  These have always been a part of Annagail’s lyrical angles as they are a part of the life.  As William Faulkner said. “The only thing worth writing about is the human heart in conflict with itself.”  It does provide endless frustration…and inspiration. Ho!

But wait! There’s more! We’re also adding a few never before heard demos to celebrate and honor the beauty and struggle of the spiritual journey.  Its not easy to let our learning curves be seen but it is necessary to be honest that we are in process and never perfect.  These are mostly live rough takes after we spent time writing and arranging.  So enjoy two new tunes in their current form!  Just don’t share them around the whole damn internet, you filthy animal.  Lay Me Down is a take on the prodigal child – whether you’re the son that stays or goes.  Whiskey and Wine is a raw first hand look at a woman’s experience of patriarchy, manipulation and the societal pressures to accept ‘it’s a man’s world.’
